Dunkin' Donuts Fire (Shelton, CT) 3/5/04
SHELTON, CT - At approximately 11:20 p.m. on March 5, the Shelton Fire Department was dispatched to the Dunkin’ Donuts located in Woodside Plaza for smoke showing from the roof. Upon arrival, first in units found heavy smoke pushing from the eaves and roof of the structure. Conditions deteriorated rapidly and the members were pulled out of the building for an exterior attack.
The fire was reported to have been started by a faulty light ballast. Companies from Derby, Trumbull, and Stratford covered the Shelton firehouses.
