Old Ansonia Rd. Fire (Seymour, CT) 4/20/06

SEYMOUR, CT - On April 20, at approximately 2:40 a.m., members of Seymour’s Great Hill and Citizen’s Fire Companies were dispatched to a working structure at 14 Old Ansonia Road. It is said the fire in the occupied 2 ½ story wood frame structure had started in a faulty electrical switch on an overhead bedroom fan. The fire on the second floor quickly spread to the attic via the balloon frame.
