Route 8 MVA Rollover (Trumbull, CT) 1/1/06

TRUMBULL, CT - At approximately 4:20 p.m. on January 1, the Trumbull Center Fire Department, Nichols Fire Department, police, and EMS were dispatched to the southbound lane of Route 8, just past Exit 7 for a motor vehicle rollover with entrapment. Shortly after their dispatch, Bridgeport E-10, L-10, and R-5 were also dispatched to the scene. Nichols was the first on scene reporting a vehicle had rolled over into the median of the highway and one person was trapped. Members had to use chain saws and cutters to get through the heavy brush that the car had entangled itself in. The victim was eventually removed from the vehicle by backboard and brought to the hospital.
