Capitol Ave. Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 5/22/07

BRIDGEPORT, CT – At 11:23pm on May 22, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 763-765 Capitol Avenue for a reported house fire. Once on scene, Battalion 2 reported heavy fire from the second floor A-side of an occupied 3 story wood frame. The fire had a good head start and was quickly extending to the third floor as companies stretched into the dwelling. After an aggressive interior attack, the fire was quickly knocked down and recall was announced at 12:02am.
