Garden St. MVA (Hartford, CT) 9/26/07

HARTFORD, CT – At approximately 9:15pm on September 26, the Hartford Fire Department was dispatched to a multiple car accident at the intersection of Albany Avenue and Garden Street. Units had just been released from a full assignment downtown for a reported fire in a second floor office that turned out to be false. Hartford Fire dispatchers then re-assigned companies to the crash after getting the report of multiple vehicles by the police on scene. The accident appeared to have involved six vehicles, one of which was a Land Rover that rolled over several vehicles and landed upside down on two of the vehicles. Injuries were unknown at the time of this article.
