Market St. Elevator Bombing (Lynn, MA) 3/14/07

LYNN, MA – On March 14, at approximately 2:30pm, the Lynn Fire Department responded to 150 Market Street for an elevator explosion. The fire soon went to a second alarm because of the heavy fire condition in the elevator and damage to the building. Authorities said the explosion was caused by a man who set off a homemade bomb after pulling his estranged girlfriend into the elevator in the building that she worked in. Both were killed by the blast.
