Pepper St. Fire (Monroe, CT) 2/6/07
MONROE, CT – At approximately 4:50pm on February 7, the Monroe Fire Department responded to a working warehouse fire at 476 Pepper Street. Approximately 10 minutes into the blaze, members were pulled from the 40x80ft warehouse for an exterior attack. The building, which housed a wood-burning stove company, as well as a landscaping company, started to show signs of instability which caused the evacuation of the members. The fire caused approximately $500,000 in damage to the structure, and much more in contents.
