Wallace Court Flood Rescues (Bridgeport, CT) 3/2/07
BRIDGEPORT, CT – On the morning of March 2, the Bridgeport Fire Department was taxed to its limits as heavy rains pounded the city. There was major flooding in almost every section of the city. At approximately 9:30am, Ladder 11 was dispatched to Wallace Court in the City’s south end to investigate a family trapped in there home by the rising flood waters. Once on scene, Ladder 11 found a home where the water had filled the basement to the first floor, and the street was completely under water.
