Wells St. Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 12/21/07

BRIDGEPORT, CT – At approximately 3:15am on December 21, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 204-206 Wells Street for a house fire. Battalion One reported a working fire on the 3rd floor of a vacant 2 ½ story wood frame. An aggressive interior attack was commenced but was soon diverted to an exterior operation as the fire completely consumed the attic and ripped through the roof. The occupied exposures on both the B and D sides sustained heat damage from the blaze.
