Winthrop Ave. 2nd Alarm (New Haven, CT) 11/1/08

NEW HAVEN, CT – Shortly after 11:30am on November 1, 2008, the New Haven Fire Department was dispatched to a working fire at 280 Winthrop Avenue between Chapel and Derby. Engine 9 arrived on scene to find a large 3 story wood frame with heavy fire on the second floor. Car 34 soon after requested a second alarm. Before the fire was put under control, several smoke inhalation victims were removed from the second floor by fire personnel.
