Eaton St. Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 1/31/09

BRIDGEPORT, CT – At 11:46pm on January 31, 2009, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 93 Eaton Street. The first in engine reported heavy fire from the rear of a large 2 ½ story wood frame. After an aggressive interior attack, the companies had to be pulled from the structure due to heavy fire involvement in the attic. There were no reported injuries to the occupants or firefighters, and the two family pets safely escaped the blaze. Unfortunately, 5 people were left homeless. This fire is still under investigation.
