Photo Tour Through Buffalo (July 2009)
Many firefighters from around here have asked me what Buffalo looks like. This gallery is ONLY meant to show the city through the eyes of a fireman, highlighting the city’s fire load and potential dangers (vacant houses and buildings). These are photos of run-down neighborhoods and commercial areas. There are MANY sections of the city that have much to offer. The food and entertainment in the downtown area rivals that of any large city I have traveled to. While visiting Buffalo, we were lucky enough to be there for its annual ‘Taste of Buffalo’. The Taste of Buffalo is the largest two-day food festival in the United States. It began in 1984 and now attracts almost 450,000 patrons annually. It has been voted WNY's premier outdoor festival.
