Catherine St. Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 9/5/10

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Shortly before 1am on September 5, 2010, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 308 Catherine Street for a reported house fire. The assignment was quickly filled out when Engine 1 reported that heavy smoke could be seen from Headquarters. First in companies found smoke showing from the second floor of an occupied 2 ½ story wood frame. All occupants made it safely out of the four family home, and no firefighters were injured during the blaze. The fire was contained to a bedroom on the second floor.
