Edgefield Ave. Fire (Milford, CT) 6/22/10

MILFORD, CT – At 8:41pm on June 22, 2010, the Milford Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 61 Edgefield Avenue. First in units found a 3-story wood frame heavily involved on arrival and extending to exposures on the B, C, and D sides. The fire in the Woodmont section of the city was finally put under control before 11:00pm. Unfortunately it was reported that one firefighter sustained a broken ankle sometime during the blaze that occurred during heavy rain and thunderstorms. Bridgeport and Stratford Fire Departments provided station coverage for Milford during the incident.
