Main St. Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 12/26/10

BRIDGEPORT, CT – AT approximately 3:30pm on December 26, 2010, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 1996 Main Street for a structure fire. First in companies found fire on the second floor extending to the third and up into the cockloft of a 3-story brick taxpayer with apartments above. Firefighting conditions were challenging due to the high winds and heavy snow of an ongoing blizzard. In all, there were no injuries, but eighteen people were forced out into the raging weather.
