A Soldier's Return (Shelton, CT) 8/15/13

SHELTON, CT - On August 15, 2013, Staff Sergeant Peter Nichio from the Army National Guard and a Firefighter with the Westport fire Department returned home from 10 months of service in Afghanistan. Members of the Shelton Fire Department honored Nichio by displaying the large American Flag with the Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Tower truck along Nichio’s route home. Several members of the department saluted Nichio and his Family as they past the staging point on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton. Nichio also served a short term with the Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Company. Thanks to Well’s Hollow Farm for allowing the use of their property for this occasion.
