Center St. Ext. Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 1/25/13

BRIDGEPORT, CT – At approximately 10:00pm on January 25, 2012, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 606 Center Street Extension for a reported structure fire. The first due engine arrived on scene reporting heavy smoke showing from a 20x40 1-story wood vacant restaurant. Members were pulled out of the building shortly after due to a heavy fire condition in the basement. Firefighters on scene also had to contend with snow showers and temps in the teens during the duration of the fire.
