Myrtle Ave. Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 11/19/14

BRIDGEPORT, CT – At approximately 1:30pm on November 19, 2014, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 270 Myrtle Avenue for a house fire. First arriving companies found heavy smoke showing from the attic of a 3 story wood frame home. There were people inside the home at the time of the blaze but all made it to safety before firefighters arrived. The fire was quickly knocked down and confined to the 3rd floor. This was to be the first of two fires Bridgeport would battle this day.
