River Rd. Garbage Truck Fire (Shelton, CT) 7/1/14

SHELTON, CT – At approximately 3:30pm on July 1, 2014, Shelton Fire Companies 1 and 4 were dispatched to River Road near Hawthorne for a truck fire. First units on scene found a garbage truck with the cab heavily involved. The road was blocked and members went to work extinguishing the blaze. Luckily, the driver was not injured in this incident.
