Blatchley Ave. 2nd Alarm (New Haven, CT) 5/7/17

NEW HAVEN, CT - At approximately 5:20pm on May 7, 2017 the New Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 266 Blatchley Avenue for a vacant house fire. First arriving companies found heavy fire in a 2 1/2 story wood frame. The fire quickly spread to an occupied 2 1/2 story wood frame exposure on the 2-side of the original fire building and a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Companies operating in the original structure were soon after evacuated due to the worsening conditions on the 3rd floor.
