Richards Ave. Condo Fire (Norwalk, CT) 12/11/17

NORWALK, CT - At approximately 5:45pm on December 11, 2017, the Norwalk Fire Department was dispatched to 100 Richards Avenue (The Stonewood Condominium Complex) for a reported structure fire. The fire was reported to have started on the top floor, but ended up damaging over 54 units between both fire and water damage. More than 50 people were displaced and needed to take shelter elsewhere during the freezing temps at the time of the blaze. Many pets were safely removed from the structure, but a few are still reported missing. In all, firefighters from Norwalk, Rowayton, Darien, and Stamford spent hours battling the blaze.
