Armstrong Place Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 2/19/18

BRIDGEPORT, CT - Shortly after 10:00am on February 19, 2018, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to the middle of the block on Armstrong Place for a reported vacant house on fire. First companies on scene found smoke showing from the attic of a 2 1/2 story wood frame vacant house. Interior companies were met with heavy fire on both the 2nd and 3rd floors with a complete burn through of the stairs going from the 2nd to the 3rd floor. Reports from neighbors stated that this is a known location for drug activity as well as needles being found all over the structure. The fire was put under control with the first assignment companies and arson was called in to investigate.
