Clifton St. Fire (Seymour, CT) 6/1/18

SEYMOUR, CT - At approximately 6:30pm on June 1, 2018, the Seymour Fire Department was dispatched to 8 Clifton Street for a reported house fire. First companies on scene found heavy smoke showing from the rear of a 2 1/2 story wood frame. It was reported that the family who lived at the residence were not home at the time of the blaze, but their 4 dogs had to be rescued from the 1st floor. The fire was reported to have started in a bathroom vent fan and spread up a staircase and also damaged the home’s kitchen. Seymour received mutual aid from both Oxford and Beacon Falls.
