Sears Dumpster Fire (Milford, CT) 1/22/18

MILFORD, CT - At approximately 1:30pm on January 22, 2018, Milford Firefighters were dispatched to 1201 Boston Post Road for a dumpster fire up against the Sears Department Store at the Connecticut Post Mall. The mall was briefly evacuated due to a building smoke condition from the burning material in a large trash compactor that proved stubborn to knock down. The cause is under investigation and the fire was contained to the compactor.
