Success Hill Condos Fire (Stratford, CT) 8/29/18

STRATFORD, CT - At approximately 4:00pm on August 29, 2018, the Stratford Fire Department was dispatched to 685 Success Avenue for a structure fire with multiple calls. First in units reported heavy fire showing from a 2-story condominium complex. It didn’t take long before the fire took control of much of the 2nd floor and sent flames through the roof. The Bridgeport Fire Department brought a full 2nd alarm to the scene as mutual aid. It was reported that several people had to jump from the 2nd story before firefighters arrived on scene. Four people, including one firefighter were injured. All injuries appeared to be minor. The whole incident occurred with the heat index climbing over 100.
