River Rd. MVA Rollover & Gas Main Rupture (Shelton, CT) 5/20/19

SHELTON, CT - At approximately 3:00pm on May 20, 2019, the Shelton Fire Department was dispatched to a reported MVA with rollover on the River Road between Rocky Rest Rd. and Constitution Blvd. South. First companies on scene found a multi-vehicle MVA with rollover, as well as a major gas leak due to a gas utility box being struck in the accident. Members directed 2 multiversals to direct the product in a safe direction as the road was closed and local residences and businesses were evacuated for over 3 hours. There were no reported injuries in the crash.
