Beaver St. Fire (Ansonia, CT) 1/7/20

ANSONIA, CT - At 2:37pm on January 7, 2020, the Ansonia Fire Department was dispatched to the corner of Jewett and Beaver Street for some type of structure fire. Reports coming in to 911 were initially unclear, but first companies on scene found heavy smoke showing from a 1-story manufacturing shop set-back behind another building located on Jewett Street. The fire ended up being contained to the building’s roof, which took extensive operations to get through and overhaul the several layers that were encountered there. Derby firefighters also responded to the scene as mutual aid.
