Roses Mill Rd. Fire (Milford, CT) 9/14/20

MILFORD, CT - At approximately 10:00pm on September 14, 2020, the Milford Fire Department was dispatched to 51 Roses Mill Road for a reported building fire. First companies on scene found a working fire in a boarded up commercial building that looked to be a one-story from the front, but is actually 3 story’s in the rear. Sections of the 1st floor were missing, so fire soon traveled throughout the structure and members had to take a defensive stance. Companies worked throughout the night to put the fire under control. The remains of a 54-year-old man was found in the wreckage the next day. At the time of this writing foul play is not suspected and the cause of the fatality is unknown.
