Hill St. 2nd Alarm (Hamden, CT) 3/9/21

HAMDEN, CT - At approximately 10:15pm on March 9, 2021, the Hamden Fire Department received multiple calls for a house fire at 775 Hill Street. First units on scene found heavy fire showing from the garage and breezeway area that was extending to a 1-story ranch style home. An aggressive search was performed as members were told 2 residents had exited the structure before FD arrival, but one was reportedly still in the home. Unfortunately, a 59 year old male was found deceased in the living room during the primary search. The other two residents were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital and later released. In all, the fire would reach a 2nd alarm before being put under control.
