New Haven, CT. LODD Funeral for Ricardo Torres, Jr. 5/20/21

NEW HAVEN, CT - On May 20, 2021, the New Haven Fire Department said farewell to one of their own. Firefighter Ricardo Torres Jr. was killed in the early morning hours at a house fire on May 12, 2021 on Valley Street. Thousands of firefighters from New Haven and across the country arrived to honor his sacrifice and say goodbye. Torres, 30, left a wife, young son, and another child due this summer. He was sworn in to the New Haven Fire Department in July of 2019 and was assigned to Engine 6.
